Signs of Cold Stress in Arabian coffee
Symptoms
Arabian coffee thrives in warmth and cannot withstand cold. It grows optimally when temperatures exceed 64℉. In winter, temperatures should remain above 59℉. If the temperature drops below 45℉, leaves may lose their vibrant color. Following frost exposure, they progressively turn brown or black, exhibiting signs like wilting and drooping.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm setting for protection from cold. Position the plant near a south-facing window to ensure sufficient light. Furthermore, avoid placing it near heating units or air conditioning vents to prevent overly dry air.
Signs of Heat Stress in Arabian coffee
Symptoms
In summer, Arabian coffee needs to be kept below 72℉. When temperatures surpass 75℉, leaves will appear lighter, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Prune off any parts that are sunburned and desiccated. Relocate the plant to an area offering protection from the intense midday and afternoon sun. Water the plant during the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
