Signs of Cold Stress in Lemon
Symptoms
Lemon thrives in warmth and cannot withstand cold. It grows optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 35℉, leaves may lose their vibrant color. Following frost damage, leaves progressively turn brown or black, exhibiting signs like wilting and drooping.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm area for protection from cold. Position the plant near a south-facing window to ensure sufficient light. Furthermore, avoid placing it near heating units or AC vents to prevent overly dry air.
Signs of Heat Stress in Lemon
Symptoms
In summer, Lemon should be maintained below 80℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, leaves become paler, and the plant is more prone to sunburn.
Solutions
Prune off any parts that are sunburned and dried. Relocate the plant to an area offering protection from the intense midday and afternoon sun. Water the plant during the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
