Ideal Temperature for Field thistle
Images of Field thistle
Indications of Low Temperature in Field thistle
Symptoms
Field thistle tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 65℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 55℉. If the temperature drops below 50℉, while no immediate changes might be apparent in winter, reduced or absent sprouting could occur in spring.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Indications of High Temperature in Field thistle
Symptoms
In summer, Field thistle should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's foliage might lighten, curl, become prone to sun damage, and in severe instances, the entire plant could wilt and desiccate.
Solutions
Prune off any sun-damaged and dried sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade fabric for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
