Signs of Cold Stress in Drooping sedge
Symptoms
Drooping sedge tolerates cold well and flourishes when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 40℉, while winter changes might be subtle, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Drooping sedge
Symptoms
In summer, Drooping sedge should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, plant leaves may lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe cases, the whole plant can wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
