Signs of Cold Stress in Sand bittercress
Symptoms
Sand bittercress tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 40℉, while winter might show no immediate effects, spring could see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that did not sprout successfully.
Signs of Heat Stress in Sand bittercress
Symptoms
In summer, Sand bittercress should be kept below 70℉. When temperatures surpass 80℉, the plant's foliage might lighten, curl easily, become prone to sun damage, and in severe instances, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any parts that are sun-damaged and desiccated. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
