Signs of Cold Stress in Turtle vine
Symptoms
Turtle vine favors warm conditions and cannot withstand low temperatures. It flourishes best when temperatures exceed 65℉. In winter, it should be maintained above 60℉. If the temperature drops below 50℉, leaves might lose some color. Following frost damage, the color progressively shifts to brown or black, and issues like wilting and drooping can appear.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Promptly relocate indoors to a warm setting for protection from the cold. Select a spot near a south-facing window for the plant, ensuring plenty of light. Furthermore, avoid placing it near heaters or AC vents to prevent overly dry air.
Signs of Heat Stress in Turtle vine
Symptoms
In summer, Turtle vine should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures go above 85℉, leaf color lightens, and the plant becomes more prone to sunburn.
Solutions
Remove any parts that are sunburned and dried out. Move the plant to an area that offers protection from the midday and afternoon sun. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
