Signs of Cold Stress in Chinese box

Chinese box tolerates cold well and flourishes when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 32℉, while winter changes might be subtle, branches can become brittle and dry by spring, with no new growth appearing.

Signs of Heat Stress in Chinese box
Symptoms
During summer, Chinese box should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's leaves may lighten in hue, tips might dry and shrivel, and it becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
