Burmese grape favors warm conditions and cannot withstand cold. It flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 75℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 68℉. If the temperature drops below 50℉, foliage may lose some color. Following frost damage, leaves progressively turn brown or black, and signs like wilting and drooping might appear.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm area for protection against cold. Position the plant near a south-facing window to ensure sufficient light. Furthermore, avoid placing it near heating units or AC vents to prevent overly dry air.
Signs of Heat Stress in Burmese grape
Symptoms
In summer, Burmese grape should be maintained below 86℉. When temperatures surpass 95℉, leaf coloration fades, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Remove any sun-scorched and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from intense midday and afternoon sun. Irrigate the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
