Ideal Temperature for Water fern

Signs of Cold Stress in Water fern
Symptoms
Water fern tolerates cool temperatures moderately well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 68℉. In colder months, it needs to be maintained above 50℉. Should the temperature drop below 32℉, its foliage might begin to sag. Minor cases allow for recovery, but severe instances lead to wilting and eventual leaf drop.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Before further exposure to low temperatures, cover the plant with materials like non-woven fabric or cloth, and build a windbreak to shield it from cold gusts.
Signs of Heat Stress in Water fern
Symptoms
In summer, Water fern should be maintained below 77℉. If temperatures surpass 86℉, the leaves' hue will lighten, their tips might dry and shrivel, they could curl, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Cut off any parts that are sunburned and desiccated. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Irrigate the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
