Signs of Cold Stress in Onionweed
Symptoms
Onionweed tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 65℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 40℉, while winter changes might not be obvious, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that did not sprout.
Signs of Heat Stress in Onionweed
Symptoms
In summer, Onionweed should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's foliage might lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe instances, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade fabric. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
