Signs of Cold Stress in Purple milkweed
Symptoms
Purple milkweed tolerates cold well and flourishes best when temperatures exceed 65℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 40℉, while winter might show no immediate effects, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.

Symptoms
In summer, Purple milkweed should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's leaves might lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in extreme cases, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any parts that are sunburned and desiccated. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
