Signs of Cold Stress in Chinese mugwort
Symptoms
Chinese mugwort tolerates cold moderately, flourishing best between 59℉ and 75℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. Below 32℉, leaves may darken. Severe cases show water-soaked decay, wilting, drooping, and browning leaves.
Solutions
Remove frost-damaged sections. Promptly relocate indoors to warmth or construct a temporary greenhouse for protection. Indoors, position near a south-facing window for ample light. Supplement with artificial lighting if natural light is insufficient.
Signs of Heat Stress in Chinese mugwort
Symptoms
In summer, Chinese mugwort needs temperatures below 75℉. Above 86℉, growth slows, leaves lighten, and sunburn risk increases.
Solutions
Remove sunburned and dried areas. Move the plant to a spot shaded from the afternoon sun. Water in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
