Signs of Cold Stress in Zebra plant
Symptoms
Zebra plant thrives in warmth and cannot withstand cold. It flourishes best when temperatures exceed 65℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 60℉. If temperatures drop below 50℉, leaves may lose color. Following frost damage, leaves progressively turn brown or black, exhibiting wilting and drooping.
Solutions
Remove frost-damaged sections. Promptly relocate indoors to a warm area for cold protection. Position the plant near a south-facing window to ensure sufficient light. Furthermore, avoid placing it near heating or AC vents to prevent excessive air dryness.
Signs of Heat Stress in Zebra plant
Symptoms
In summer, Zebra plant should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 80℉, leaf coloration fades, and the plant becomes more prone to sunburn.
Solutions
Remove any sunburned and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from intense midday and afternoon sun. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
