If the temperature drops below 45℉, foliage may darken. Extreme cold can lead to water-soaked tissue death, wilting, drooping, and a gradual browning of the leaves.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm setting or construct a temporary greenhouse for protection from cold. When indoors, position the plant near a south-facing window for adequate light. If natural light is insufficient, provide artificial illumination.
