Signs of Cold Stress in Belladonna lily
Symptoms
Belladonna lily tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 40℉, while no immediate winter changes might be apparent, reduced or absent sprouting could occur in spring.
Solutions
In spring, eliminate any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Belladonna lily
Symptoms
During summer, Belladonna lily should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's foliage might lighten, curl easily, become prone to sun damage, and in extreme cases, the whole plant could wilt and desiccate.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and dried-out portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or employ a shade cloth for cover. Irrigate the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
