Indications of Low Temperatures for Palmer's amaranth
Symptoms
Palmer's amaranth tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 75℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 60℉. If the temperature drops below 50℉, while no immediate changes might be apparent in winter, a reduction or complete absence of sprouting could occur in spring.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Indications of High Temperatures for Palmer's amaranth
Symptoms
In summer, Palmer's amaranth should be kept below 85℉. When temperatures surpass 95℉, the plant's foliage might lighten in hue, tend to curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe instances, the entire plant could wilt and desiccate.
Solutions
Remove any parts that are sunburned and dried. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
