Signs of Cold Stress in Wild garlic
Symptoms
Wild garlic exhibits moderate resilience to cold and flourishes optimally within a temperature range of 60℉ to 75℉. Throughout the winter, temperatures should not drop below 50℉. If the temperature falls below 32℉, foliage may darken. In extreme instances, water-soaked tissue death, wilting, and drooping can occur, with leaves progressively turning brown.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm setting or construct a temporary greenhouse for protection from cold. When bringing the plant inside, select a spot near a south-facing window to ensure adequate sunlight. If light is insufficient, consider using artificial grow lights.
Signs of Heat Stress in Wild garlic
Symptoms
In summer, Wild garlic should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's development slows, its leaf color fades, and it becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Remove any parts that are sunburned and dried out. Relocate the plant to an area offering shade from the afternoon sun. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
