Signs of Cold Temperatures in Indian mint
Symptoms
Indian mint tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 65℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 40℉, while winter changes might not be obvious, spring sprouting could be reduced or absent.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that did not sprout.
Signs of Warm Temperatures in Indian mint
Symptoms
In summer, Indian mint should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures go above 85℉, the plant's leaves might lighten, curl, get sunburned, and in extreme cases, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any parts that are sunburned and dried. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade fabric. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
