Signs of Cold Stress in Tree aeonium
Symptoms
Tree aeonium cannot withstand extremely low temperatures. It flourishes best when temperatures range from 60℉ to 75℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 32℉, its leaves will show waterlogged decay and drooping. For minor frost damage, initial signs might be absent, but within a week, leaves will severely droop and eventually detach.
Solutions
Prune away the frost-damaged sections. Promptly relocate it indoors to a warm spot or construct a temporary greenhouse for cold defense. When bringing it inside, select a south-facing window for sufficient light. If using a makeshift greenhouse, ensure good air circulation to prevent plant rot from inadequate airflow.
Signs of Heat Stress in Tree aeonium
Symptoms
In summer, Tree aeonium should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant enters dormancy and is more susceptible to rot in humid conditions.
Solutions
Remove any dry and decayed portions. Relocate the plant to a partially shaded spot, shielding it from direct sun during midday and afternoon. Cease watering until the weather cools down.
