Signs of Cold Stress in Baobab
Symptoms
Baobab thrives in warmth and cannot withstand cold. Optimal growth occurs above 70℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 59℉. Below 50℉, leaves may lose color. Post-frost, they turn brown or black, showing wilting and drooping.
Solutions
Remove frost-damaged sections. Promptly relocate indoors to a warm area for cold protection. Position the plant near a south-facing window for sufficient light. Avoid placing near heaters or AC vents to prevent air dryness.
Signs of Heat Stress in Baobab
Symptoms
In summer, Baobab should stay below 86℉. Above 104℉, leaves lighten and the plant is more prone to sunburn.
Solutions
Remove sunburned and desiccated parts. Move the plant to a shaded spot during midday and afternoon. Water in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
