Signs of Cold Stress in Common yarrow
Symptoms
Common yarrow tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 32℉, while winter changes might be unnoticeable, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In springtime, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Common yarrow
Symptoms
In summer, Common yarrow should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's foliage might lighten, curl easily, suffer sunburn, and in extreme cases, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Prune off any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
