Signs of Cold Stress in Golden wattle
Symptoms
Golden wattle favors warm conditions and cannot withstand low temperatures. It flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 59℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 32℉, foliage may lose some color. Following frost damage, the leaves progressively turn brown or black, and signs like wilting and drooping might appear.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm setting for protection from cold. Select a location near a south-facing window for the plant, ensuring abundant light. Furthermore, avoid positioning the plant near heating units or AC vents to prevent excessive air dryness.
Signs of Heat Stress in Golden wattle
Symptoms
In summer, Golden wattle should be kept below 86℉. When temperatures surpass 95℉, the leaves' color fades, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Prune off any sun-scorched and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to an area that offers protection from the midday and afternoon sun. Water the plant during the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
