Ideal Temperature for Common freesia

Signs of Cold Stress in Common freesia
Symptoms
Common freesia tolerates cool conditions moderately well, flourishing optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 40℉, foliage may begin to sag. Minor cases can recover, but severe instances lead to wilting and eventual leaf drop.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Before future cold spells, cover the plant with materials like non-woven fabric or cloth, and build a windbreak to shield it from chilly gusts.
Signs of Heat Stress in Common freesia
Symptoms
In summer, Common freesia should be maintained below 70℉. When temperatures rise above 80℉, leaves may lighten in color, tips might dry and shrivel, foliage could curl, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Cut off any parts that are sunburned or dried out. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to ensure the soil remains damp.
