Signs of Cold Stress in Wild tantan
Symptoms
Wild tantan tolerates cold well and grows optimally above 75℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 60℉. If temperatures drop below 50℉, while no immediate winter changes may be apparent, spring sprouting might be reduced or absent.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Wild tantan
Symptoms
In summer, Wild tantan should be kept below 85℉. When temperatures exceed 95℉, leaves may lighten, curl, and suffer sunburn; in severe cases, the plant can wilt and dry out completely.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged or desiccated parts. Relocate the plant to a spot shaded from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
